Human Body Systems/Anatomy

Service Description

In this course, students will learn the basics of the human body and the various systems within it. The course will go into detail about the function of various organs and their larger role both within the system that they are a part of as well as the human body from a holistic view. At the end of the course, students will demonstrate their knowledge by modeling the function of a specific system and presenting their model to the class. List of Topics: Endocrine System, Exocrine System, Renal System, Nervous System, Skeletal System, Immune System, Reproductive System, Respiratory System, Muscular System, Digestive System, and Circulatory System Prerequisites: none Materials: For course: laptop. For project: common household materials based on what type of project they decide. Teacher: Rishee is a junior at Eastlake High School who plans to pursue computational biology and genomic research as a career. He co-founded his school’s Biology Club and is an active member in the HOSA and DECA chapters. He has been deeply interested in biology since elementary school, when he was studying for a science competition, and his interest was primarily sparked by anatomy and the systems of the human body at the time. Since then, he has participated in various programs including Science Olympiad in middle school as well as a Computational Biology summer program at Carnegie Mellon University to increase his knowledge. In his spare time, Rishee enjoys road biking, being outdoors, coding, and spending time with family and friends.
