The public speaking side of the course will cover the basics of clear presentation, how to write a compelling speech, impromptu speaking, and interview skills. On the debate side, students will learn how to refute on their feet, deliver arguments clearly, and organize debates. Whether the student aspires to participate in the high school competitive circuit or merely aims to give better presentations in class, this course will provide the necessary resources for students to open their mouths with confidence. Prerequisites: None Materials: Computer Instructor: Ada Lu Hi, I’m Ada. As 4A state champion in impromptu and second place in extemp, as well as a Nationals level competitor in World Schools Debate, speech and debate has been a dominant pillar in my life.
